HPE InfoSight
The game changer in infrastructure management

IT departments are constantly reacting to unexpected problems with considerable time spent on troubleshooting doing non value-added activities. A lot of these activities are spent on analyzing logs, interpreting data to figure out what went wrong. Calling vendors for support can often be frustrating as a lot of time you’ll be asked to recreate the problems, sending log files, then escalation. All these activities can create disruption and waste time.
HPE InfoSight brings simplified AI-driven operations to the hybrid cloud world that transform how infrastructure is managed and supported. It uses cloud-based AI to provide global insight in to the status and health infrastructure, all in one centralized location. InfoSight monitors your infrastructure every minute 24/7, so you don’t have to spend your time dealing with infrastructure issues.
How does it work?
Observing
HPE InfoSight observes data points and sensors built into the HPE servers and products
Learning
Applying advanced pattern recognition to the data collected across all devices globally
Predicting
Anticipate the problems based on observation and learning
Recommending
Intelligence decisions that prevents issues, improve performance and optimize resources
Acting
Automation results in game-changing benefits and outcome
HPE InfoSight vs Traditional Management
HPE InfoSight is built on a unique approach to data collection and analysis. Compared to traditional data infrastructure, HPE InfoSight takes a much more comprehensive approach. Every second, it collects information from thousands of embedded sensors built in every array and pulls in data from across the infrastructure stack. It does not only analyze individual system, but all the systems in HPE cloud-based, install-based AI platform where HPE uses machine learning to generate predictive analytics, continuously learn from every system and automate recommendation that improves every environment. This platform predicts and recommend resolutions to problems before they even start.
What difference does it make?

HPE InfoSight on Servers
The HPE InfoSight portal is a secure web interface hosted by HPE. It provides a graphical interface and predictive device support automation. HPE InfoSight uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to simplify operations by examining your environment, which is done by compiling data from your site. It combines the machine learning and predictive analytics of HPE InfoSight with the health and performance monitoring of Active Health System (AHS) and HPE iLO on your servers to optimize performance and predict and prevent problems. HPE InfoSight supports Gen10, Gen9, and Gen8 HPE ProLiant servers, HPE BladeSystem servers, HPE Synergy compute modules, and HPE Apollo systems with iLO 4 and iLO 5. HPE brings InfoSight to HPE servers on January 2019.

HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers
More than 1 million customers over 25+ years have built their business on HPE ProLiant servers making HPE #1 in worldwide total server revenue for 21 straight years.
With HPE ProLiant rack and tower servers, you can deliver consistent and predictable agility, security, and economic control across your Hybrid IT infrastructure. With HPE Gen10 servers, you can take advantage of HPE InfoSight immediately, plus superior security features such as ILO5 and Silicon Root of Trust.

Getting started with HPE InfoSight On your ProLiant servers
To start using InfoSight for servers, first, you’ll need to download the HPE ILO Amplifier Pack Appliance and run ILO Amplifier Pack in your data center. ILO Amplifier Pack collects Active Health System data on the server and pass the health, configuration and performance data of each server to InfoSight. Note that Active Health System does not collect personal data or network security data. InfoSight then uses its predictive analytic and recommendation engine to analyze the health, configuration and performance data collected from AHS to predict and prevent problems and improve performance.
